Arsenal Boost In January Move For 27-Year-Old Midfield Maestro – reports

Arsenal have been handed a giant boost in their race to sign Sami Khedira in January, with Real Madrid reportedly finding a replacement for the German international, as reported by fichajes.net.

Real have reportedly turned to Cruzeiro midfielder Lucas Silva to replace Khedira, having received glowing reports from former AC Milan player Serginho, who is tasked with scouting players in South America for Milan.

The Gunners have been targeting the World Cup winner since the summer, but failed to conclude a deal for him during the transfer window.

There has since been significant suggestions that the player is set to move to the Emirates when the winter window opens.

This is not guaranteed, however.

Khedira’s contract with the Santiago Bernabeu side is set to expire in the summer, and he could yet wait until his deal is up to reap the additional salary rewards of making a free transfer elsewhere.

PL Rivals Look To Snatch Chelsea And Arsenal Target – reports

Manchester City have entered the battle to sign Sami Khedira from Real Madrid, putting them in direct competition with both Arsenal and Chelsea, as reported by fichajes.net.

The two London clubs have been tracking the World Cup winner since the summer, with both hopeful of securing his signature during the transfer window.

This did not occur, however, with Khedira instead looking to move at the end of his contract, in order to receive a higher wage packet.

However, it recently seemed as though Arsenal had won the battle and were willing to pay a fee to bring him in in January.

Despite this, the news has now emerged that Manuel Pellegrini is tracking Khedira heading into January, and he could yet move to the Etihad Stadium.

Both Arsenal and City have an advantage on their other rivals for Khedira’s signature, with the likes of Fiorentina and Bayern Munich keen to wait until the summer to sign him on a free transfer.

£25m Midfield Maestro Close To Arsenal Switch After Lowering Wage Demands – reports

Arsenal look increasingly close to capturing Real Madrid midfielder Sami Khedira, with the World Cup winner having reportedly lowered his wage demands in an attempt to push through the switch, as reported by fichajes.net.

Khedira has looked ever more likely to move away from Real in the near future, with his contract set to expire at the end of the season and no indication that there is any chance of agreeing a new deal with the Champions League winners.

The German international looked likely to move to Arsenal in the summer, but a move failed to be completed over his significant wage demands.

However, it now seems as though Khedira is willing to accept a lesser salary, around £80,000, to push through a move to the Premier League.

Arsenal could therefore push through a move for the player, with a deal with Real possible in January.

The Gunners would likely have to pay around £25 million to sign him.
