Chelsea back up goalkeeper Petr Cech has denied any interest in leaving Stamford Bridge during the January transfer window, according to his agent.
The agent believes that, despite losing his place in the team to the returning Thibaut Courtois, Cech is not keen to leave a club with whom he has spent an extended period of time, as reported by Italian outlet Tuttomercatoweb.
In fact, Cech has been first choice at the club since manager Jose Mourinho’s first spell in charge, and has only now lost it to the ultra talented Belgian.
Paris Saint Germain, Real Madrid, Monaco and Arsenal have all been mentioned as clubs that could be interested in the veteran goalkeeper.
Roma have also been linked with a move, and it was a move there that caused his agent Viktor Kolar to respond directly to the rumours linking him with a switch away from the west London club.
He said: “There has been no contact with Roma.
“Petr definitely won’t move in the January transfer window.”
