Man Utd Set To Give Player Shock January Return – reports

Manchester United are hopeful of making a shock recall of winger Nani in the January transfer window, as reported by the Daily Express.

The Portuguese star was sent on loan to his home country after a disappointing few seasons for the Old Trafford club.

His return came as part of the deal which saw Man Utd sign Marcos Rojo.

However, much to Man Utd’s benefit, Nani has been in excellent form since moving back to Portugal.

Man Utd have also rejigged their formation, playing with two wingers rather than the intended two wing backs, and as a result, there is space for Nani again in the side.

The Red Devils will therefore discuss the possibility of cutting the intended loan spell short, with the player to return in the winter rather than waiting until the summer to have Nani return.

It remains to be seen whether Sporting would agree to let one of their top players depart at an inconvenient juncture.

Skilled Man Utd Loanee Unsure If He Will Return To Parent Club

Manchester United loanee Luis Nani has admitted that he remains unsure whether he has any future at Old Trafford, as reported by the Daily Star.

The Portuguese international winger moved to Sporting Lisbon on a season long loan, having found himself out of first team consideration under new Man Utd boss Louis van Gaal.

Unsure as to whether he will be involved in the future at the Old Trafford club, and, in fact, whether he will even return, Nani is instead focussed upon getting himself back up to his former standards and enjoying his football.

He said: “I don’t know [if I will go back].

“At the moment I just want to enjoy the football, I want to play, I want to be at my best and then let’s see what happens in the future.

“But at the moment I am a Manchester United player, so I’m just here to get back to my best.”

He joined Man Utd in 2007 for around £20 million in 2007, and was initially effective after his big money move, with suggestions that he could reach the same heights as his compatriot Cristiano Ronaldo.

Despite signing a new five year deal with the club last season, David Moyes elected to use Nani only 11 times in the Premier League.

Have The Mighty Fallen? £120k-A-Week Star Insists Leaving Man Utd Is Not A Step Back

Manchester United’s loaned out star Nani has revealed that he does not think departing Old Trafford is, at this point, a step back for any player, with his move to Sporting representing his preferred next step in his career, as reported by the Daily Star.

The Portuguese international winger’s move came as part of Marcos Rojo’s switch to Man Utd from the Portuguese side, with a one-year loan deal for Nani being part of the agreement.

It might be symbolic of how far Man Utd have fallen in the last year that Nani is insistent that moving to Sporting is not a step back for him.

He said: “I do not think that it’s a step back.

“I had other options but I decided to play at this club. It was my choice.”

Despite his comments, there is little chance that the Portuguese side will be able to cover Nani’s colossal wages after this season, with the maestro earning £120k a week at Old Trafford.

It seems likely, therefore, that this arrangement is only temporary, and Nani might end up taking another sidewards step and switching back to Manchester before next season.
