24-Year-Old Man Utd Star Reveals Improvement Under Boss

Manchester United new boy Marcos Rojo has declared that manager Louis van Gaal is making him a better player since his arrival at the club, as reported by the Daily Star.

The 24-year-old moved to the Manchester club this summer from Sporting Lisbon, with Van Gaal paying £16 million to bring him in.

Despite being a natural left back, Rojo has been primarily used in the centre of defence by the Dutch manager.

This has not impacted on his performances, with Rojo impressing considerably in the last few games.

Man Utd are 10/1 to win the Premier League with William Hill

With the Man Utd back four having been subject to considerable change over the course of the still young season, Rojo credits his performances to the improvement that he has undergone under the former Netherlands boss Louis van Gaal.

Rojo said: “He [Van Gaal] is brilliant.

“He’s always giving me advice, telling me how to improve my game, my movement.

“He’s a great manager who always wants to win and that’s the message he gets across to us.

“He wants the best and that’s what he demands from his team.”

Man Utd have improved over the last two games, narrowly winning home matches against West Ham and Everton, with both games finishing 2-1.

Man Utd New Boy Says Club Need Time To Rebuild

Manchester United new boy Marcos Rojo has said that the club need time to mould a side after a series of additions this summer under new manager Louis van Gaal, as reported by the Daily Express.

He has also said that the Dutch manager would be able to lead the club back into title contention, if he is given the time to carry out the work that needs to be done.

Rojo arrived at around the same time as Angel Di Maria and Radamel Falcao, although he has only just received international clearance to play for the Old Trafford club, and he has backed both players to be key players as his new team try and return to the Champions League.

He said: “There are some great players in the team. We obviously need to give them time so the new manager can build this team.

“But with the great names we have in our squad and the intelligence of the manager, I am sure many achievements will come along.

“Di Maria has got a lot of quality. He is very sharp and very fast so he can help a lot attacking in the other half.

“There are some good strikers in the squad. Falcao is always in the penalty box, he is very sharp and capable of making the most of any chance.

“It is a huge step forward in my career and my life and I am very happy to play for one of the best clubs in the world at the moment.

“I will try to find my place as soon as possible and help in every way I can so we get important trophies.”

The Argentinian international moved to Man Utd from Sporting Lisbon, and his transfer has led to the owner of his former club complaining heavily about the nature of third party ownership, something that affected him.

£51.5m Duo Set To Make Man Utd Debuts – Reports

Louis van Gaal is reportedly keen on handing Luke Shaw and Marcos Rojo their Man Utd debuts in the clash against Queens Park Rangers, as reported by the Daily Star.

Argentina defender Rojo moved to Man Utd last month for £20 million from Sporting Lisbon, but issues with his work permit stopped him from making his debut for the club prior to the international break. As a result, the defender missed the games against Sunderland, MK Dons and Burnley, three games of the four that Man Utd have failed to win in.

Rojo has, however, now been granted a work permit by the British Embassy in Madrid, and can finally make his debut against QPR when the Premier League season resumes.

Shaw, who Man Utd signed from Southampton for a fee of £31.5 million, is also in line to make his debut after recovering from a hamstring injury that ruled him out for the first month of the season.

If Van Gaal sticks with his 3-5-2 formation, Shaw will likely line up as a wing-back, with Rojo in central defence.
