Arsenal Chase Swoop For £75m Liverpool Hero – reports

Arsenal are thought to be eyeing a possible move for Barcelona forward Luis Suarez, with the Uruguayan hitman facing an uncertain future at the Catalan club, as reported by the Daily Star.

The 27 year old striker left Liverpool in the summer to join the Nou Camp side, who paid a huge £75 million to bring him in.

However, he has not been a success at the gigantic club, and there are doubts about whether he will stay with them in the long term.

Andoni Zubizarreta, Barca’s sporting director and in part the man responsible for the signing of Suarez in the summer, was sacked this week, and his assistant Carles Puyol, Barca legend, resigned from his position.

Suarez has scored only three goals this season, in contrast to his sensational form for Liverpool last season.

Arsenal were keen on signing him last summer, and are apparently keeping abreast of his situation at the Catalan club.

Barca’s willingness to sell could change after the president Josep Maria Bartomeu announced he was set to call presidential elections soon.

£75m Ex-Liverpool Sensation Available For 1st El Classico Of La Liga Season

Barcelona have confirmed that former Liverpool striker Luis Suarez will feature in the first El Classico of the new La Liga season, with the game set to take place on Saturday 25th October, one day after the striker’s extensive ban finishes, as reported by AS English.

Suarez was banned for an extended period after his actions at the summer World Cup, when he responded to a tussle with Italy’s Giorgio Chiellini by seemingly biting the Italian defender.

Uruguay went on to win that important clash with the European side 1-0, securing their progress from a group that also featured England, but Suarez was swiftly banned from all footballing activity for four months by FIFA.

There were initial doubts over whether Suarez would be allowed to train with his new Barcelona teammates after his £75 million move to the Catalan club, but a ruling by the Court of Arbitration for Sport meant that he could

It now seems that his debut for the footballing giants will come against their eternal rivals Real Madrid, in what should now be a dramatic match between two clubs with incredible historic and modern bad blood.

Report: Barcelona Agree €79.2m Deal For Liverpool’s Luis Suarez

AS are reporting that journalist Xavi Torres has heard that an agreement has been reached between Barcelona and Liverpool for Luis Suarez, with the Catalan club paying the Reds €79.2 million to bring him to the Camp Nou.

Suarez looks increasingly likely to leave Liverpool this summer, with Barcelona seemingly the only likely destination. His form for Liverpool last year attracted a series of suitors (such as Barcelona’s rivals Real Madrid) as the season ended, but with his infamous bite incident involving Giorgio Chiellini, it seems as though Barcelona are the only club willing to pay the significant fee required to capture him.

Suarez has been banned from all football related activities by FIFA for four months as a result of the bite, but this has not stopped Barcelona.

The Uruguayan hit-man missed out on his side’s elimination from the World Cup as a result of the ban, with Colombia knocking out their South American rivals. James Rodriguez of AS Monaco scored one of the goals of the tournament in the process.

Suarez scored 31 goals in the league for Liverpool last season, a sensational record given the fact that he missed the first month of the season due to suspension. Liverpool finished second, qualifying for the Champions League in the process.
