Liverpool and Chelsea are set to wage war over the signature of 18 year old Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Julian Brandt, with both clubs having sent scouts to watch the German midfielder in action this season, as reported by the Daily Mirror.
Liverpool’s interest in the player is so significant that manager Brendan Rodgers has also been to games to watch the youngster in person, with the boss trying to glean whether he’d be a good addition to his side.
Brandt is considered to be one of the best young prospects in the Bundesliga, showing the regard in which he’s held, given the level of young talent that the German league produces every season.
Both clubs have sent scouts to watch him.
