Man Utd Ace Wants To Win The FA Cup

Manchester United midfielder Juan Mata has revealed his affection for the FA Cup after yesterday’s 2-0 win against Yeovil Town in the 3rd round of the competition, as reported by ManUtd.com.

Mata’s first ever trophy in England was an FA Cup win with Chelsea, and he is yet to taste success in any competition since moving to Old Trafford almost a year ago.

He has stated that he is very keen to win the competition this season.

The Red Devils struggled to break Yeovil down yesterday, ultimately going ahead through a goal from Ander Herrera, one which had an element of luck to it, although the Spanish midfielder’s strike was straight out of the top drawer.

They then wrapped the game up with a counter attacking goal finished by Angel Di Maria, who was returning from injury.

Mata was delighted with the victory, and hopes that his side can have further success in the competition.

He wrote: “It was a genuine cup game, when you visit a team of a different category and find a stadium full of people and a very motivated opponent.

“It wasn’t easy, but we finally made it to the next round with two superb goals from Ander [Herrera] and [Angel] Di Maria.

“Let’s see who we play next [but] I want to win this title again.

“This was my first trophy in England and I’m very fond of it. Playing the semis and the final at Wembley is amazing. I hope I can do it again because I love this competition.”

With Man Utd out of the League Cup and third in the Premier League, the FA Cup is their best opportunity for silverware this season.

Man Utd Star Delighted For Hardworking Goalscoring Ace

Manchester United star Juan Mata has declared that he is delighted for his teammate Radamel Falcao after the Colombian international struck his second goal in a Man Utd shirt at the weekend.

Falcao has struggled with fitness since joining the Old Trafford club on a shock season long loan on transfer deadline day.

He has not reached the heights that he achieved prior to the injury he suffered last season while playing for AS Monaco, a blow that saw him miss out on the World Cup in Brazil as a result.

Falcao had only scored one goal prior to the clash with Aston Villa on Saturday.

His excellent header drew the game level after Villa had gone ahead through Christian Benteke in the first half.

Villa had Gabriel Agbonlahor sent off after Man Utd equalised, but the Red Devils were not able to make it a seventh win in a row.

Despite that disappointment, Mata has declared how happy he is at Falcao’s goal on his official blog.

He wrote: “We were able to tie the game thanks to Radamel’s header.

“I’m very happy for him, I think he deserved it because he works hard every day – and at the end of the game, despite Aston Villa were playing with ten men, we couldn’t score the second goal.”

Champions Line Up £25m Move For Man Utd Maestro – reports

Atletico Madrid are reportedly lining up Manchester United misfit Juan Mata as their top January transfer target, as reported by the Daily Express.

Sources in Spain suggest that the fact that the former Chelsea player has been made available by manager Louis van Gaal has made Atletico boss Diego Simeone incredibly excited, and as a a result, the Argentinian manager is going to press his club to push forward with a bid for the player during the winter window.

While both Valencia and Juventus are also thought to be keen on a move for the talented Spaniard, they may struggle to match Atletico’s intended bid of around £25 million.

Furthermore, Mata is said to be disinterested in returning to Valencia, meaning that Atletico are the comfortable favourites to sign him.

This could give the La Liga champions a huge boost going into the second half of the season, capturing a star who has been undoubtedly underused by Van Gaal since his arrival.
