Another Injury Blow At Liverpool As Young Star Faces 2 Months Out

Liverpool’s young star Jon Flanagan has found himself out on the sidelines for as many as two months, putting yet another player on the treatment table for the Anfield club, as reported by the Daily Star.

Manager Brendan Rodgers revealed this news on Thursday, but also confirmed that Daniel Sturridge, an even bigger loss, would be back in first team training before too long.

Flanagan’s injury is the result of a knee problem, with the player now having up to two months on the sidelines as a result of surgery on the problematic limb.

The player will take this as a significant blow, with Flanagan struggling to get into the rhythm of the new season.

The ace had established himself as a first team player at the end of last season, coming into the side as they put together an unlikely title challenge.

He will now not be expected to return before the Christmas period.

Rodgers said: “Young Jon Flanagan, unfortunately, has just had an operation that will probably have him out for a few months – which is disappointing.

“Daniel Sturridge should hopefully be back training at some point next week.”
