Liverpool And Arsenal Dealt Heavy Blow In £24m Star Chase

Arsenal and Liverpool have both been hit by a painful blow in their move for Real Madrid midfield wizard Isco, after it was revealed by Carlo Ancelotti that he will not sanction a move for the player away from the Santiago Bernabeu, as reported by The Metro.

Both Premier League sides were thought to be keen on a move for the Spain international, with the 22 year old star having found it difficult to secure a place in Real’s starting line up since his move from Malaga in 2013.

The signings of the likes of James Rodriguez and Toni Kroos for big money fees has increased the difficulty for Isco to break into the first team.

However, the Italian manager, who has previously taken control of the Chelsea, AC Milan and Paris Saint Germain, has insisted that the Spanish giants will not be letting Isco move in the winter window, and that he plans to give him more games.

He said: “He had a great season last year and we have a lot of faith in him. He is the future of this squad.

“Isco and Illarramendi have a lot of personality and respect my decisions. They are always ready to play.”

Arsenal And Liverpool Set To Launch January Moves For €30m Wing Wizard – reports

Liverpool and Arsenal are both thought to be eyeing up January moves for Real Madrid’s misfit wing wizard Isco, who has failed to establish himself fully in Real Madrid’s first team since his €30 million move from Malaga last summer, as reported by the Independent.

The summer arrival of James Rodriguez has impacted his playing time for the Spanish giants even further, making it almost impossible for him to break into the first team and firmly establish himself in it.

With Pedro, who plays for Real’s fierce rivals Barcelona, now looking likely to move to Juventus instead, both Arsenal and Liverpool are set to turn their attention to the 22 year old winger.

There could be further Premier League competition for his transfer, with Manchester City, who made a bid for the player before he moved to Real, also thought to be interested in making another bid.

Isco played under current City boss Manuel Pellegrini while at Malaga.
