Arsenal Considering Further Bid For €40M Ace In January – reports

Arsenal are said to be considering a further bid for Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain in January, as reported by the Daily Star.

The Argentinian international has reportedly grown frustrated at the lack of success won by Napoli since his move there last summer.

They finished third in Serie A last season, but failed to win their qualifier, missing out on entry to the group stage as a result.

Therefore, Higuain is said to be willing to consider a January move to another club.

Reports in Spain also suggest that Arsenal could be the side to go back in for him again in the winter transfer window.

Despite their huge summer outlay, which saw the Gunners spend big on the likes of Alexis Sanchez, Danny Welbeck and Calum Chambers, the Emirates Stadium club have won only two of their eight Premier League games.

Arsene Wenger is still reportedly keen on improving his strike force in January, and therefore going back in for Higuain looks like a reasonable idea.

Napoli paid €40 million to sign him in 2013, a fee Arsenal would likely have to match if they wished to sign him.

Liverpool Line Up £22M January Swap Move For Hot Shot – reports

Liverpool are said to be lining up a £22 million move for Gonzalo Higuain in January, with the Reds thought to be worried about Daniel Sturridge’s ability to maintain fitness over a long period of time, as reported by Caught Offside.

The Napoli striker has emerged as a target for the Anfield club in recent weeks, with Brendan Rodgers thought to be a fan of the Argentina international.

Higuain is also believed to be unsettled at Napoli, with the club’s inability to qualify for the Champions League, having lost in the qualifying stages, a particular point of consternation for the star.

There is also a belief that the club are required to sell some of their more valuable players to balance the books after the failed campaign.

The Reds are also set to offer Lucas Leiva, who Rafa Benitez is known to admire, in an attempt to push through the deal.

Liverpool And Arsenal’s 27-Goal £31M-Rated Target Unsettled At Current Club

Liverpool and Arsenal target Gonzalo Higuain is reportedly unsettled at Napoli, opening up a move for either of the Premier League giants for the Argentinian hit man, as reported by the Daily Star.

He is thought to be unhappy with life in Italy, according to reports, and is considering his possible routes away from the Stadio San Paolo.

Having joined the Serie A club last summer, the former Real Madrid star has been repeatedly linked to a move elsewhere, with many of the top clubs in Europe thought to be interested in stealing him away from Naples.

Prior to signing ex-Liverpool man Luis Suarez for £75 million, Barcelona were said to be interested in the 26 year old forward.

Both Arsenal and Liverpool were linked to the striker in the summer, and with goals having been an issue at Anfield since the start of the new season, the Reds could reignite their interest in the star.
