Chelsea are close to agreeing a new deal with Eden Hazard, which would tie him to the Stamford Bridge club for another five years, as reported by the Daily Mirror.
The new contract is expected to net the player £50 million over the five years, a significant amount of money by any account.
This works out at £200,000 a week, making him one of the best paid players at the club.
It will confirm the fact that the Belgian international has developed into a key player for the Blues since his £32 million transfer from Lille in 2012. The time since his move has seen him make 69 appearances, generating a stunning return of 23 goals and 23 assists in those games.
While Hazard has been somewhat overshadowed during the start of the new season, he has played a key role as the club have managed to win all four of their opening games in some style.
