Giants Line Up £33m+ Bid For Key Man Utd Star – reports

Manchester United could be dealt a blow in the near future, with Real Madrid lining up a huge transfer bid for stopper David De Gea.

A summer move for the Spain international from the Spanish giants is looking increasingly likely, with any fee likely to smash the existing transfer record for a goalkeeper.

This would mean that Real would pay more than the £33 million that Juventus paid Parma to sign Gianluigi Buffon in 2001, a move that secured them one of the best goalkeepers in history.

De Gea played for Real’s city rivals Atletico Madrid prior to signing for Man Utd, and he could be tempted into making the switch back to Spain’s capital city, especially to join one of the world’s largest clubs.

According to the Daily Express, with only 18 months left to run on his current contract, Man Utd will likely look to open fresh talks in order to avoid losing a player who has been integral to their recent run of form.

The Old Trafford club have won six matches in a row.

Man Utd Star Set To Stay As Giants Target Spurs Stopper – reports

Manchester United star David de Gea is set to stay with the Old Trafford side after it was revealed that Real Madrid have turned to Tottenham Hotspur stopper Hugo Lloris instead, as reported by the Daily Express.

The Spanish giants are set to replace veteran goalkeeper Iker Casillas in the summer, and were thought to have been targeting De Gea as his replacement.

The former Atletico Madrid man has been in excellent form since the start of the season, and may have been tempted to make the switch back to his homeland.

However, Los Blancos have apparently instead turned to Lloris to fill the impending hole between the sticks.

Casillas is getting up there in the years, and Real believe a replacement for him needs to be found.

They are now set to challenge Paris Saint Germain for Lloris’ signature.

De Gea has admitted himself that he is reluctant to leave Manchester any time soon.

He said today: “In Manchester I feel wanted. If you took seriously what is written about you, you’d almost think you’re going to a thousand clubs.

“So the best you can do is pay attention to where you are. I feel very loved by Man United.”

Man Utd Panic As Key Player Stalls Contract Talks – reports

Manchester United are becoming increasingly worried about David de Gea’s future with the Old Trafford club, with the player stalling over signing a new contract, as reported by the Daily Express.

De Gea has been one of few consistently impressive players since the appointment of Louis van Gaal at the start of the season.

As a result, De Gea has attracted interest, with Spanish giants Real Madrid hopeful of bringing him back to his homeland.

De Gea was, in fact, signed by Man Utd from Real’s city rivals Atletico Madrid in the summer of 2011 for a staggering £17.8 million, and he could be tempted to return to the city where he made his name.

Man Utd now find themselves having to push for a new deal in the immediate future, or they could lose De Gea on a free at the end of next season.

Real will almost certainly be watching the situation with joy, having hoped to replace Iker Casillas with his international compatriot.
