Snapped: New Leeds Coach Pictured With Tickets For Plane

New Leeds United boss Darko Milanic has been photographed with his plane tickets for the flight to Yorkshire, with the manager expected to be confirmed as the new head coach later today, as posted on Sturm Graz’s official Instagram page.

The Serbian manager is set to take charge of the Yorkshire giants, and will have been impressed by the recent displays of the club under caretaker boss Neil Redfearn, which has seen the side go undefeated for four matches in a row.

Yesterday saw Leeds storm to a 3-0 win against Huddersfield Town in the Championship, with the Whites blowing away their West Yorkshire rivals.

Rudy Austin, who has impressed during Redfearn’s spell in charge, kicked off the proceedings with a thunderous shot from the edge of the area which beat Town keeper Alex Smithies.

The lead was doubled by Mirco Antenucci, who latched on to a rebound to put Leeds 2-0 up.

Souleymane Doukara then rounded up the goals with a curled effort, his second in a week.

Leeds Agree Deal With Slovenian Treble Winning Coach – reports

Leeds United have agreed terms for the signing of Serbian manager Darko Milanic, who won the Slovenian treble with Maribor in 2012, as reported by Chris Harvey of Sky Sports News.

Milanic first emerged as a candidate for the job at the Elland Road club towards the middle of this last week, around the time that the side won 3-1 away from home against Bournemouth.

Bournemouth was caretaker coach Neil Redfearn’s third game in charge, which saw him complete an undefeated trio of games. The win was the first time that the Yorkshire club have won away from home in mid week since 2011.

Milanic is now expected to negotiate the terms of his departure from Sturm Graz before taking the Leeds job.

Sturm Graz, a side from the Austrian Bundesliga, appointed Milanic last summer, and they finished fifth in the league under him.

He is expected to take charge of the club’s tie this weekend before moving to Leeds.
