Arsenal Star Backs £32M Addition To Get Even Better

Arsenal star Wojciech Szczesny believes that there is still more to come from the club’s summer signing Alexis Sanchez, as reported by the Daily Star.

Sanchez joined the north London side from Catalan giants Barcelona in the summer for £32 million.

His arrival was heralded as a huge deal, and Sanchez has already impressed during this campaign.

Sanchez has already scored five goals in only eight games for the Gunners.

Despite this, Arsenal’s first choice goalkeeper Szczesny is convinced that Sanchez will get even better.

He said: “I am sure there is more come from him.

“He got a massive goal for us against Besiktas and that took the pressure off him.

“Since then he has scored pretty much every time he has started.

“I’m very happy for him. I hope it continues and he gives us that little bit more.”

Arsenal have been relatively impressive in flashes since the start of the new season.

Fellow new signing Danny Welbeck has settled in incredibly quickly at the club, scoring a hat trick in the Champions League against Galatasaray.

They have, however, suffered some painful defeats, including the 2-0 loss against Chelsea prior to the international break, when Arsene Wenger’s side failed to live up to their city rivals.

Arsenal Boss Insists £32M Star’s Injury Worry Is Nothing

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has insisted that Alexis Sanchez’s injury worry after last night’s game against Galatasaray is nothing, with the Chilean international having been pictured with ice strapped to his ankle after being substituted, as reported by the Daily Star.

The wing wizard played exceptionally for the north London side yesterday, but a shocking tackle by Felipe Melo saw him withdrawn as a precaution ahead of Sunday’s clash with Chelsea.

The Galatasaray defender was only booked for the tackle, with many surprised that the challenge did not merit a straight red card, due to the violent nature of it.

As a result, Sanchez was later pictured with ice strapped to his ankle while sat on the bench, but the Arsenal manager has moved to assuage fears over one of his star players, and believes that Sanchez should definitely be fit for the Chelsea game.

He said: “It could have been a red. I’ll have to see it again.

“It looked from where I was that it was a red.

“I took Alexis off to be a bit more solid defensively once we were down to 10 men.

“Unfortunately, in my life I haven’t met many players who are happy to come off.”

Danny Welbeck secured the win with a hat trick, with Sanchez also scoring.

£32m Arsenal Sensation With Terrible Miss

Arsenal’s £32 million summer signing Alexis Sanchez may be looking at Danny Welbeck with jealous eyes after his own appearances for the Chilean national side during the international break saw him miss the target terribly with an easy opportunity.

With Welbeck starring for England in their opening Euro 2016 qualifier against Switzerland, scoring two goals while playing in a central role, Sanchez will have been hoping to impress to the same extent. With misses like this, Arsenal fans can’t be happy.

One swallow does not make a summer, however, and Sanchez is a talented player who has already made an impact at Arsenal. His direct running has added a new dimension to Arsene Wenger’s side, and it will be incredibly interesting to see him link up with the newly confident Welbeck when Premier League football returns this weekend.

Even so, Arsenal fans and Wenger himself will be hoping for better finishing when the action returns to England.
