19-Year-Old Man Utd Starlet Keen To Force Way Back Into Van Gaal’s Plans

Manchester United’s 19 year old young prospect Adnan Januzaj has insisted that he will work hard and earn a place back in the Old Trafford club’s first team, and he is hoping to impress the manager Louis van Gaal through his displays for the club’s Under 21s, as reported by the Daily Star.

Januzaj played from the bench for the club against Queens Park Rangers at the weekend, as the club managed to earn their first win of the season, but he also featured for the Under 21 side as they clashed with Sunderland at Old Trafford on Monday.

Much like the senior side, the Under 21s managed a 4-0 victory, and Januzaj scored a hat trick as they romped to an easy win.

Januzaj said: “Of course, I played a lot of games last season and I’m trying to impress the manager once again and get games again this year as well.

“I tried to do my best. Obviously, even if it’s reserves level, I always have to show myself and improve.

“I got a hat-trick but I think I worked hard defensively as well and these are the kind of things I have to do now and at first-team level.

“I don’t do it for any other people but for myself. I look after my [display]. Even if I have to play Under-18s, I have to do it and try to improve every time I play.”

Given his committed display, Januzaj is hoping that the manager Van Gaal will give him another opportunity to impress in the first team.

The starlet burst onto the scene last season with a series of good displays under David Moyes.

QPR Boss Fears “Dangerous” Man Utd Forward Line

Queens Park Rangers manager Harry Redknapp has referred to Manchester United’s brand new forward line as dangerous, with the London club tasked with being the first side to face a side boosted by the shock deadline day arrival of Radamel Falcao, as reported by the Daily Express.

It is not just Falcao’s arrival that has served to improve Man Utd’s forward line, however, as the addition of Angel Di Maria earlier in the transfer window represented the capture of the most impressive player of last season’s Champions League final for a British record transfer fee. Di Maria cost £59.7 million to tempt away from Real Madrid.

Man Utd already have Wayne Rooney and Robin van Persie available to them, along with the likes of Juan Mata and Adnan Januzaj. That combination did not impress last season, however, as Man Utd finished seventh. Van Gaal has improved in an attempt to get the club back into the Champions League, and Redknapp is worried about the side he now faces.

He said: “Well, it certainly sounds dangerous!

“It’s got the makings of a great forward line.

“It’ll be interesting to see how they gel together. Di Maria doesn’t sound too bad either.

“We’ve got to go up there and make sure we work hard. We’ve got to be prepared to give them a game on Sunday.”

What’s My Role, Gaffer: Man Utd Starlet Set For Showdown With Boss – Reports

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal is set for showdown discussions with young prospect Adnan Januzaj after the Belgian international expressed his concerns over his future at the Old Trafford club, as reported by the Daily Star.

A huge shift in playing style this summer, necessitated by Van Gaal’s change to his desired 3-5-2 formation, means that Januzaj has featured infrequently since the start of the season.

Januzaj, 19, is now thought to be concerned about his new position in the squad under Van Gaal, having made a huge impact last season. The young winger was one of few players to emerge from David Moyes’ time at the club with any credit at all.

Significant additions in the transfer market this summer have left Januzaj questioning his position in the side, especially after the addition of Angel Di Maria, who would almost certainly trump Januzaj to a starting place should Van Gaal pick a formation with wingers again.

Elsewhere, another five players have joined.

It is reported, however, that the player is set to be told of his position under the new boss in the coming days.
