The clash with Rotherham could end up being Redfearn’s last game in charge of Leeds.
His contract as head coach is meant to expire after the conclusion of the game, and there has not been any indication that it will be renewed before the end of the season.
Owner Massimo Cellino is also set to return from suspension next week, and there are doubts over whether he will want to retain Redfearn.
Cellino suspended Redfearn’s assistant manager, Steve Thompson, without consulting the head coach, arguably hindering his ability to win games.
Leeds ended a five match losing streak with a 2-1 victory against Sheffield Wednesday in a Yorkshire derby at Hillsborough at the weekend.
Goals came from Charlie Taylor and Steve Morison, who scored his second in two games.
