Everton To Make Stunning Swoop For Man Utd Starlet – reports

Everton and Paris Saint Germain have joined Real Sociedad in the race to capture Manchester United starlet Adnan Januzaj in the January transfer window.

The talented young player has found his opportunities limited at Old Trafford since the arrival of Louis van Gaal as manager in the summer.

As a result, he is looking to leave the Manchester side in the January transfer window on loan to get some more first team football, and Van Gaal has no opposition to this.

The Red Devils are thought to be fearful of keeping him at the club and potentially hindering his development in the long term, according to the Daily Star.

Roberto Martinez’s Everton have emerged as surprise candidates for the winger, who has made only nine Premier League appearances for Man Utd this season.

They will have to compete with French giants PSG if they want to sign him, however, and former manager David Moyes’ Sociedad.

22-Year-Old Ace To Return To Chelsea In January – reports

Everton loanee Christian Atsu is set to return to Chelsea in January, with the Blues believing that he has not played enough football since joining their Premier League rivals.

Atsu is currently stuck on the treatment table for a hamstring injury suffered while playing for Everton, and as a result, is likely to have played his last game for the Goodison Park club.

Roberto Martinez was particularly keen to sign Atsu in the summer, and beat off significant competition for the 22 year old.

Premier League rivals West Ham United, Newcastle and Sunderland all lined up moves for Atsu, but Martinez was successful in his pursuit.

Chelsea assumed Atsu would be playing regular football this season, with the hope that it would aid his development.

However, he has played only nine games, making just one start in the Premier League.

Chelsea could choose to keep him at Stamford Bridge for the rest of the season, or loan him out again, according to the Daily Mirror.

Our verdict

Chelsea are likely disappointed that a player who has clearly missed the boat at Stamford Bridge hasn’t been put in the shop window by Martinez. Expect another loan move, if he returns.

Ex-Man Utd Boss Bemoans Defensive Mistakes

Former Manchester United boss David Moyes has bemoaned Real Sociedad’s mistakes in their huge 4-0 loss to Villareal at the weekend.

Moyes had led the Spanish side to two undefeated games in La Liga after taking charge of the club, but that record fell away against the Yellow Submarine of the Spanish league.

The Basque side had not even conceded under Moyes prior to the mauling from Villareal.

Moyes has become something of a figure of fun back in England after his incredibly unsuccessful spell at Old Trafford.

He led the Red Devils to seventh in the Premier League, hugely missing out on his targets in the league and in other competitions after replacing Alex Ferguson as his chosen successor.

Replacement Louis van Gaal has also struggled at times, losing 4-0 to MK Dons in the League Cup.

Moyes focused on his team’s display after the game, and admitted that the result could have been far worse.

He said: “It could have been more, we could have lost more goals. We made some terrible mistakes, defensively bad mistakes, especially with the third and fourth goals.

“I don’t think the first goal was a free-kick, I think it was the wrong decision to give the free-kick, but the best team won.

“In the first 20 minutes of the game we had some opportunities, but not enough tonight. We knew we were coming to a difficult ground and we wanted to be hard to beat, and for 50-60 minutes we were, but in the end [it was] not good enough.”
