Swansea City are on the cusp of signing Kyle Naughton from Tottenham Hotspur for a fee of around £4 million, as reported by the Daily Mail.
While Naughton has also been targeted by Premier Division strugglers Leicester City, the windfall earned by Swansea from the imminent transfer of Wilfried Bony to Manchester City has allowed them to match Spurs’ valuation of the young right back.
Bony is set to join City for a staggering £30 million, giving Swansea money to play with in the winter window.
The arrival of DeAndre Yedlin from Seattle Sounders seems to have put an end to Naughton’s time at White Hart Lane.
Naughton has been pushed down the pecking order at north London by the signing of the rapid American, who impressed hugely at the World Cup in Brazil this summer.
The return of Kyle Walker to fitness means that Naughton is probably fourth choice, with Eric Dier also able to play on the right side of defence.
