Man Utd Make £35m Bid For Arsenal Target – reports

Manchester United have made a move to bring Arsenal target Mats Hummels to Old Trafford in the January transfer window, as reported by the Daily Star.

There has been incredible speculation about Hummels’ future with Borussia Dortmund since the summer, and despite the World Cup winner denying any interest in leaving the German giants, there have been repeat links suggesting that Hummels is set to depart the Westfalenstadion in the near future.

Widely circulated reports from the continent have suggested that Man Utd and Arsenal are the two main clubs vying for his signature.

Dortmund, who signed Hummels from fierce rivals Bayern Munich in 2009, have repeatedly insisted that they have no interest in selling Hummels to anyone, for any price.

However, Italian journalist Gianluigi Longari is now claiming that Man Utd have made an official bid to sign him.

The Daily Star are suggesting that this would be worth around £35 million.
