Boss Refuses To Discuss Future Of £200m Chelsea Targeted Messi

Barcelona boss Luis Enrique has refused to answer the questions posed to him about the possible future of world class forward Lionel Messi, as reported by the Daily Mirror.

Messi was left out of the starting line up for the game against Real Sociedad for the weekend, and there are rumours that Enrique and Messi have fallen out, with their relationship deteriorating considerably in the last few months.

Messi and Enrique are apparently not even talking any more, a difficult situation for a manager and player who is supposed to be integral to Barca’s style of play.

The Catalan giants went on to lose that game 1-0 against former Manchester United manager David Moyes’ new club.

Chelsea have been heavily linked with a move for Messi, with Roman Abramovich apparently deciding that this calendar year will be the ideal time to bring the four-time Ballon d’Or winner to the Premier League.

They have supposedly put £200 million aside to bring him to Stamford Bridge.

When asked about a possible switch to Chelsea, Enrique replied: “I’m not the right person to answer that.”
