Arsenal Midfielder Wins Trophy

Arsenal midfielder Santi Cazorla has won the PFA Fans’ Player of the Month Award for the month of December, as reported by Arsenal.com.

Cazorla has played an integral role as Arsenal have slowly climbed the Premier League table this month.

The Spain international put away four goals over December.

Cazorla also laid on a single assist for his teammates, while playing in a deeper midfield role than he usually plays in.

His first goal of the month came away from home against Stoke City, a game which Arsenal lost 3-2 after falling three goals behind in the first half.

He was then integral as the Gunners turned around their form with a 4-1 home victory against Newcastle United.

Cazorla bagged a brace in that game, including a chipped penalty past young goalkeeper Jak Alnwick.

The playmaker’s assist came for Olivier Giroud as Arsenal drew 2-2 away from home against Liverpool.

He wrapped up the month with a penalty against West Ham, a game the north London side won 2-1.
