Man Utd Ace Wants To Win The FA Cup

Manchester United midfielder Juan Mata has revealed his affection for the FA Cup after yesterday’s 2-0 win against Yeovil Town in the 3rd round of the competition, as reported by ManUtd.com.

Mata’s first ever trophy in England was an FA Cup win with Chelsea, and he is yet to taste success in any competition since moving to Old Trafford almost a year ago.

He has stated that he is very keen to win the competition this season.

The Red Devils struggled to break Yeovil down yesterday, ultimately going ahead through a goal from Ander Herrera, one which had an element of luck to it, although the Spanish midfielder’s strike was straight out of the top drawer.

They then wrapped the game up with a counter attacking goal finished by Angel Di Maria, who was returning from injury.

Mata was delighted with the victory, and hopes that his side can have further success in the competition.

He wrote: “It was a genuine cup game, when you visit a team of a different category and find a stadium full of people and a very motivated opponent.

“It wasn’t easy, but we finally made it to the next round with two superb goals from Ander [Herrera] and [Angel] Di Maria.

“Let’s see who we play next [but] I want to win this title again.

“This was my first trophy in England and I’m very fond of it. Playing the semis and the final at Wembley is amazing. I hope I can do it again because I love this competition.”

With Man Utd out of the League Cup and third in the Premier League, the FA Cup is their best opportunity for silverware this season.
