Done Deal: Arsenal Let World Cup Winning Forward Join Inter Milan On Loan

Arsenal have confirmed that they have loaned striker Lukas Podolski to Inter Milan for the remainder of the season, as reported by the club’s official Twitter account.

The World Cup winner has been on the fringes of Arsenal’s squad for the majority of the season, making only infrequent appearances in the league and in cup competitions.

While he has made 82 appearances for the Gunners during his time at the Emirates Stadium, Podolski has never been first choice under Arsene Wenger, and he was keen to move on in the January transfer window.

He was something of a figure of affection among Arsenal fans, having scored 31 goals for the Premier League giants.

He has, however, made only two starts for Arsenal this season, along with 11 substitute appearances, hitting home three goals.

Inter were reported to have a clause written into Podolski’s contract, allowing them to sign him on a permanent basis at the end of the season.
