Arsenal are getting closer and closer to securing the signature of sensational striker Edison Cavani in the January transfer window, with current club Paris Saint Germain willing to see him depart for £50 million.
Reports in Spain suggest that the PSG manager Laurent Blanc is willing to let Cavani depart in the near future.
As a bonus for Blanc, accepting the astronomical fee for the Uruguayan striker would allow him more room to move in the transfer market, freeing the French giants from he constraints of Financial Fair Play.
While Cavani is under contract at PSG until the end of the 2017/18 season, he is not thought to be particularly committed to the club, which makes Blanc far more willing to sell him, according to the Daily Express.
The addition of a striker of Cavan’s quality will make a huge difference to Arsenal.
A player of his talent up front could improve their season considerably, making them title contenders again.
