Chelsea To Use £50m Ace As Bargaining Chip In £20m Deal – reports

Chelsea are prepared to use Stamford Bridge flop Fernando Torres in any deal to sign Malcom Silva in an attempt to beat Barcelona to the talented Brazilian.

Torres has struggled with Chelsea since his stunning £50 million transfer to them, and has spent the first half of the season on loan at AC Milan.

However, he has made very few appearances for the Italian club, and looks set to return to Chelsea when the transfer window reopens on January 1.

Chelsea are interested in signing Malcom, who has apparently been valued at £20 million by Corinthians in order to deter any potential suitors from the 17 year old.

They have decided that they are likely to lose Malcom to one of his many suitors in January, however, and Brazilian outlet R7 are reporting that they are looking to have Torres in place as his replacement.

A deal would have to be confirmed before the start of the Copa Libertadores, which begins in February 2015.

Torres will not be involved at all if he returns to Chelsea and stays there, according to Jose Mourinho.
