Man Utd To Battle Arsenal & PL Rivals For 15 Year Old Starlet – reports

Manchester United have entered the race for Birmingham City teenager Josh Martin.

The 15 year old was given a squad number at the start of the season by former manager Lee Clark, who believed that he was likely to break Trevor Francis’ record for the youngest player to appear for the Midlands side.

Man Utd are now watching him in youth team games ahead of a possible transfer, according to the Daily Star.

They join Arsenal in watching him, with Premier League giants Chelsea and Liverpool also interested in a possible move.

Birmingham have struggled financially in recent seasons, with owner Carson Yeung imprisoned in his native Hong Kong.

While they have improved in the league recently, they may struggle to keep hold of Martin if one of the Premier League’s top dogs comes calling for a possible move.

Man Utd have a tradition of signing defenders young in recent years, with both Chris Smalling and Phil Jones signing after only a small spell in the first team at Fulham and Blackburn Rovers respectively.

  1. Can you give any credence to an article that confuses the great Trevor Francis with Gerry Francis! this is what comes when children pretend to be journalists and are allowed to write articles.
