Arsenal are on the cusp of snatching the ‘new Luka Modric’ from Hajduk Split, ahead of Italian giants Inter Milan.
The 17 year old starlet Nikola Vlasic is considered to be one of Europe’s most highly rated young stars, having burst onto the scene at the young age of 12.
He is a talented young midfielder who can operate in the centre of the park or out on the wing, much like former Spurs man Modric.
Vlasic also has a significant pedigree, with his older brother being world champion high jumper Blanka Vlasic.
He has also broken a Split record, having become the club’s youngest European goalscorer after netting in a tie against Dundalk in July in the Europa League.
Tuttomercatoweb are now suggesting that the Gunners are in pole position to capture the teen star in January, ahead of Inter Milan.
Arsenal are set to welcome fellow midfielder Mesut Ozil back after an extended period on the sidelines.
