Liverpool And Man Utd Told To Bid For £18m Ace – reports

Liverpool and Manchester United have both been told by Xherdan Shaqiri’s agent and brother to make a move in the summer for the Bayern Munich star.

The Swiss international is known to want a move away from the Allianz Arena, having seen his opportunities limited under current boss Pep Guardiola.

He tried to push for a move in the summer during the World Cup, but nothing came of that.

Liverpool chased him particularly closely, and they seemed, at various points, like they’d got the man who had scored a stunning hat trick in the competition in Brazil.

However, ultimately the German club’s hierarchy blocked a move for Shaqiri, and he was forced to stay with Bayern going into the season.

His opportunities have not improved, but Guardiola remains disinterested in seeing him leave.

Man Utd have also been linked to the player, with the Old Trafford club previously putting a £18 million price tag on him.

Agent Erdin Shaqiri has told the Premier League pair that a bid in the summer would likely work.

“We are now waiting safely until summer. Then, when teams come as Liverpool, Manchester United, Inter Milan and other top clubs we hear that to us safely,” he said.
