‘Lies’ Over Potential Man Utd Transfer – Agent

Inter Milan defender Nemanja Vidic’s mooted move to Manchester United has been described as “lies” by the player’s agent.

Vidic has featured incredibly infrequently since the appointment of former Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini as Inter manager, leading to speculation in the English and Italian press that the player could make a return to Old Trafford.

The former captain of the Red Devils will not, however, make a move, according to his agent.

Silvano Martina said: “The boy already is training with the Red Devils (laughs).

“Not at all: they are all lies. Vidic has a three-year with Inter and will not leave Milan.”

Man Utd have suffered defensively this season, with Louis van Gaal unable to lock down a preferred unit at the back, or get his young charges performing at a consistent level.

While they have climbed to third in the table, there remain doubts about whether the side possess the defensive solidity to qualify for the Champions League.

As a result, the press suggested Vidic could return to offer a veteran head at the back, given his prior experience with the Manchester side.

However, his agent is now clear that there is no chance he will cut his three year stay at Inter short after only six months.
