Magic Defender Dreams Of Liverpool Move

Genoa’s captain Luca Antonelli has admitted that he is dreaming of a move to Premier League side Liverpool in the near future, as reported by Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport.

Antonelli, a left back, has been instrumental as the Italian side have climbed to a surprising position in Serie A – they sit in joint third place after their excellent beginning to the campaign.

Despite having captained his side to an excellent run of results in the Italian top flight, he is particularly interested in making a switch to the English game, but only with the Reds.

“My dream is to one day play for Liverpool,” he said.“Anfield is like the Luigi Ferraris, their stand is similar to the Gradinata Nord.

“But I am still young, there will be time to talk about this again.”

Genoa and Antonelli faced off against Milan on Sunday, who have two Chelsea stars in their squad in Fernando Torres and Marco van Ginkel.

However, Torres has been underused since his loan move to the Italian giants.

The Milanese team are still struggling in Serie A too, and look a long distance from the reputation that they carry.

They are not, however, struggling as much as city rivals Inter.
