Lazio are hopeful of moving midfielder Cristian Ledesma on in January, and have targeted Arsenal as a likely destination for the Argentina born star, as reported by Sport Witness.
Ledesma is now seen as surplus to requirements at the Serie A side, and Italian outlet Repubblica have reported that they are keen to move him along in January.
Arsenal have been specifically mentioned as a possible destination, with Ledesma’s agent Vicenzo D’Ippolito saying that the Gunners are interested in his signature.
While the British press have suggested that Ledesma would only want a six month contract, this might not turn out to be the case.
If Arsenal are as interested as his agent suggests, however, there is definitely reason to believe that they can snatch the 32 year old midfielder.
Given that he is surplus to requirements, Lazio would likely not demand a big fee, and moving to a club like Arsenal should appeal to the player.
