£9.5m Bid Levelled For Man Utd Targeted Ace

An unknown Qatari side are believed to have made a £9.5 million bid for Trabzonspor striker Abdul Majeed Waris, as reported by the Daily Star.

The Ghanaian international has been targeted by Man Utd, and assistant manager Ryan Giggs was sent to Turkey to cast a closer eye on him during a recent fixture in the Europa League.

However, Man Utd could yet be pipped to the star’s signature.

Trabzonspor president Ibrahim Haciosmanoglu confirmed to the media today that the club have received a bid from an unknown Qatari side to sign the player.

The president also confirmed that a bid of £9.5 million had been officially made for the player.

It now remains to be seen whether the Old Trafford side can push through a deal for Waris before he moves elsewhere.

Waris only moved to Trabzonspor in September, but has caught the eye with his displays for the Turkish club.
