Manchester United are set to hijack Liverpool’s move for Norwegian starlet Martin Odegaard, as reported by The Metro.
The 15 year old is considered to be one of the hottest young talents in the world, having impressed considerably since bursting into the first team picture for his club Stromsgodset.
Young midfielder Odegaard has bagged five goals in his 23 matches for the club’s first team, despite his young age.
Liverpool are thought to be one of the clubs most interested in him and Odegaard is known to be a fan of the club since childhood.
The Reds were hopeful of bringing Odegaard in for a trial over the Christmas period.
Real Madrid have also expressed an interest, offering him a five year deal.
However, Man Utd are now thought to have made an official offer to sign him in January after watching him closely.
It remains to be seen which club of many Odegaard will choose.
