PSG Plot Raid For £59.7m Man Utd Star – reports

Paris Saint Germain are planning to renew their interest in Manchester United star Angel Di Maria, making him their top transfer target, if their Financial Fair Play sanctions are lowered, as reported by the Daily Express.

The punishment meted down on them by UEFA in the summer meant that they could not complete a move for Di Maria, despite having held significant negotiations with Real Madrid over signing him.

Reports in France now suggest that PSG believe their sanctions will be lifted or eased in the summer.

As a result, they will once again raise their spending limit past £50 million, and will pursue Di Maria again.

This comes despite Di Maria having only moved to Man Utd in August.

The Old Trafford club broke the British transfer record in signing him, paying Real £59.7 million to capture an integral star.

Man Utd are reportedly willing to sell Di Maria if it funds a move for Gareth Bale.

Di Maria himself has suggested he’d be open to a move to PSG, saying: “PSG, they had a money problem and they couldn’t buy players.

“It could have been a good experience for me to go to Paris.

“I know I’m still young, perhaps I’ll go to PSG one day. I don’t know how it will all end.”
