Manchester United are lining up Barcelona goalkeeper Marc Andre Ter Stegen to replace current first choice David De Gea, as reported by the Daily Express.
The incumbent goalkeeper has been in impressive form since the start of the season, including a stunning display against Arsenal at the weekend where he undoubtedly stopped the Red Devils from going behind in the first half.
This has caught the eye of Real Madrid, who are looking for a replacement for veteran stopper Iker Casillas.
While there is no guarantee that De Gea will want to depart, it would not be surprising if the Spanish giants can tempt him into moving home.
Ter Stegen only moved to Barca in the summer for around £10 million, but he has seen his opportunities limited under boss Luis Enrique.
Reports in Spain now suggest that the German star is interested in departing in January, and Man Utd have been mentioned as a likely destination.
