Italian Giants Hope To Pip Man Utd To World Class Defender – reports

Juventus are putting together a move for Barcelona defender Dani Alves, with the hope of beating Manchester United to one of their long term targets, as reported by the Daily Star.

The defender’s contract expires at the end of the season, and as a result his future with the Catalan club is very much up in the air going forward.

As a result, he has been targeted by a series of the biggest clubs in the Premier League, with the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool all linked with a move for the player.

It is Man Utd who have been most interested in signing him, however, and they seemed in pole position to bring him in.

Reports in Italy now suggest, however, that Juventus are willing to spend a significant amount to convince Alves that they are the right club for him.

They could sign him for a cut price fee in January or agree terms on a contract to begin in the summer.
