Arsenal are set to make a stunning move Roma striker Matthia Destro in the January transfer window, as reported by the Daily Star.
This will, in part, be in the hopes of replacing want away star Joel Campbell, who has struggled to make an impact since his sensational turn at the World Cup in the summer.
Campbell’s excellent displays in Brazil belied his involvement at Arsenal over the last few years.
He has spent his entire time with the Gunners away from the club on loan.
Success in Brazil was meant to bring with it more opportunity for the Costa Rican international, but Arsene Wenger has not granted him much action in the Premier League.
Inter Milan are said to be putting together a loan move for the player, with the option of signing him on a permanent basis for £7 million in the summer.
As a result, reports suggest Arsenal are lining up a move for Roma’s Mattia Destro, who cost the Italian side €16 million when they signed him.
