Spurs Target Ex-Leeds Starlet For January Swoop – reports

Tottenham Hotspur are planning a January move for Aston Villa midfielder Fabian Delph, with the hope of snatching the former Leeds United man on a cut price deal, as reported by the Daily Mirror.

There is significant interest in the England international as a result of his contractual situation with the Midlands side.

His deal with the Villains expires at the end of the current season, and there is no indication that the player is willing to sign a new contract.

Villa have offered him a four year deal which, with incentives, could be worth up to £50,000 a week, but Delph has turned it down.

They therefore believe that Delph will leave at the end of the season.

As a result, Spurs might look to him to improve their struggling side.

Daniel Levy has seen manager Mauricio Pochettino struggle since taking over, and could snap Delph up to aid the team by paying a nominal fee.
