£24m Chelsea And Man Utd Elegant Target In Showdown With Club – reports

Barcelona star Gerard Pique is set for showdown talks with the Catalan club’s hierarchy over the next few days, with his future at the club in severe doubt, as reported by the Daily Star.

New manager Luis Enrique has involved him infrequently since the start of the new campaign, and Pique has only begun seven of the club’s 15 games since the season kicked off, a staggering fall for a player considered to be an integral part of Barca’s side.

Pique’s relationship with Enrique is apparently nonexistent, according to reports emerging from Spain, and it is becoming more strained the less that the former Manchester United man plays.

Club officials intend to try and ensure peace between player and club in the near future, but it might already be too late.

Both Chelsea and Man Utd are known to be lining up a bid for the 27 year old defender, who has been valued at around £24 million by Barca.
