Arsenal star Jack Wilshere is set to miss out on Tuesday night’s clash with Belgian side Anderlecht, with the England international having missed training on Monday, as reported by the Daily Star.
The midfielder was absent at the weekend as the Gunners triumphed against Burnley at the Emirates Stadium.
Wilshere could only look on as his side stormed to a 3-0 victory against the recently promoted side, one of Arsenal’s most fluid performances since the start of the season.
The maestro also missed out on the game the week prior, when Arsenal beat Sunderland 2-0.
Arsene Wenger himself admitted, prior to the Burnley win, that he was unsure whether Wilshere would be available to play in this week’s Champions League tie.
However, with Wilshere having now missed training at the start of the week, it looks increasingly unlikely that he will feature in the game against the Belgian giants.
Arsenal face Swansea at the weekend.
