Lazio star Lucas Biglia has decided to stay with the club from Rome, despite interest in recent days from Premier League side Arsenal, who had identified him as an ideal player to shore up their weak midfield, as reported by fichajes.net.
Arsenal have noticeably lacked a strong midfielder since the start of the new campaign, with Mathieu Flamini struggling to play and no other options for that position available in the squad.
As a result, The Gunners reportedly saw Biglia as a great option to improve their side.
However, the Argentina midfielder is not particularly keen to accept the bid, and is likely to stay at Lazio as a result.
Arsenal will therefore have to look elsewhere if they want to improve their midfield before the second half of the season.
This might be integral if they want to reach their usual heights, although Arsene Wenger’s side are finally hitting form.
