City Interest In Arsenal Maestro Increases Ahead Of Possible £35m January Move – reports

Manchester City’s interest in Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil has apparently increased, with the club likely to make a move for the World Cup winner in January, as reported by fichajes.net.

The German international has struggled to settle at the Emirates Stadium since his big money move from Real Madrid, but this has failed to put off City manager Manuel Pellegrini, who wants to bring him in.

This is with the intention of adding to City’s creativity in midfield, with only David Silva capable of playing in the playmaking role for the Blues.

Ozil’s addition would add a certain level of invention that is currently missing from City’s squad.

While it remains to be seen whether Arsene Wenger would be willing to sanction the sale of Ozil, reports have suggested that the midfielder is not entirely happy about his situation with the Gunners, with Ozil reportedly complaining about being played out wide.
