Man Utd Star Rejects Suggestions Of Move Away

Manchester United’s goalkeeper David De Gea has insisted that he is happy to stay at the Old Trafford club, despite mounting speculation over the last few weeks suggesting that Real Madrid are on the cusp of a move for him, as reported by the Daily Star.

Real are apparently keen to replace Iker Casillas, who is thought to be set to depart the Santiago Bernabeu next summer.

Despite targeting a series of names, De Gea was believed to be the preferred option for the Madrid club going forward, and there was a belief that they would make a move for the Spain international in the summer.

However, De Gea is insistent that he is happy to stay with Man Utd going forward, and that he is happy to turn down their advances.

“[They are] Just rumours. I’m happy here,” he told German football magazine Kicker.

Man Utd are set for their biggest test of the season at the weekend, when current league leaders Chelsea travel to Old Trafford.
