Man Utd Blow As Long Term Target Looks Set To Sign New Deal

Manchester United have been dealt a blow, with their long term target Juan Cuadrado set to sign a new deal with Fiorentina, as reported by fichajes.net.

Admittedly, with regards to Cuadrado, he’s been in this situation before only to see the deal fall apart at the final hurdle, but word is emerging from Italy that the situation is quite optimistic on Fiorentina’s end, with regards to retaining his services.

As a result, Cuadrado could be close to signing a new deal with La Viola, which would see him improve his current salary and increase his buyout clause, dissuading other clubs from making an offer for him.

Both Man Utd and Barcelona have been tracking the highly rated star for the majority of the summer, and could be left disappointed heading into the January transfer window, with the player clearly willing to stay with his current club going forward, rather than making the jump to one of the European giants.
