Man Utd Boost In Chase For Elegant Colombian World Cup Star – reports

Manchester United have been handed a boost in their chase for Inter Milan star Fredy Guarin, as reported by the Daily Star.

The Colombian international has been consistently linked with a move to the Premier League since the summer, with the expectation that he will depart the San Siro being persistent throughout the transfer window.

The club that were supposedly most interested in him were Manchester United, with Louis van Gaal believed to be particularly interested in the midfielder.

Van Gaal supposedly saw the 28 year old as a perfect alternative to Juventus star Arturo Vidal, who was consistently difficult to sign.

In fact, Guarin was so keen to make the switch to Old Trafford that he reportedly rejected a switch to Zenit St Petersburg from Inter.

The move never went through, however.

Man Utd have been given a boost in their chase though, with sources in Italy suggesting that Inter are keen to sell him in order to reduce their huge wage bill.
