Arsenal are chasing Napoli winger Jose Callejon, as reported by fichajes.net.
Callejon has performed exceptionally for the Serie A side since the start of the new campaign, and as a result, is drawing significant interest from elsewhere in Europe.
Napoli were eliminated in the qualifying round of the Champions League, meaning that their most prized assets can be snatched up with the right offer.
Arsenal are not the only team keen on Callejon, however, with La Liga champions Atletico Madrid also thought to be chasing his signature heading into the January window.
With Callejon in good form, he will likely not be that keen to stick around a Napoli side that currently look unlikely to challenge for the Scudetto.
Rafa Benitez’s side have under performed since the start of the year.
However, Napoli are not believed to be keen to sell, and Callejon himself is thought to be relatively settled, meaning that it will not be a simple task for Arsene Wenger.
Napoli told Atletico 40m for him in the summer, will want more than that in January. No chance he’ll join Arsenal.
