Chelsea To Swap Hero In Quest For January Midfield Maestro Signing – reports

Chelsea are apparently willing to include Petr Cech in any deal to sign Sami Khedira from Real Madrid, in an attempt to cut the cost of the transfer, as reported by fichajes.net.

The Spanish outlet are suggesting that this could see Blues boss Jose Mourinho reunited with his former charge in the near future.

Chelsea are one of two London based clubs who are chasing Khedira, with Arsenal also thought to be especially interested in his signature.

Real Madrid are also thought to be looking for a new goalkeeper in the near future, with Iker Casillas, who has been a long term fixture in the side, fading with age.

Cech could be an ideal replacement for Casillas, as he is an experienced option who would almost certainly be willing to work with Keylor Navas and rotate.

This could aid Chelsea’s move for Khedira, and with Khedira thought to prefer their financial package, a move could be done in January.
