Man Utd Face Battle From Real In Quest For Key Target – reports

Manchester United are set to face a battle from Real Madrid in their quest to sign Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal, as reported by the Daily Star.

As a result, they might offer Juan Mata to the Italian giants in an attempt to persuade them to deal with them rather then the Spanish giants.

Juventus are known to hold an interest in the magical Spanish playmaker, and Man Utd have found it increasingly difficult to fit him into the side since the start of the new campaign.

Mata’s arrival in January broke the club’s record outlay, but Angel Di Maria’s £59.7 million signing shattered that particular record.

Vidal is thought to want to leave Juventus, and Man Utd have targeted him consistently since the summer, when they were thought to be willing to pay £47 million to sign him.

No deal was pushed through, and Man Utd now face the risk of losing a key target to Real Madrid, according to Corriere dello Sport, which suggests that Vidal’s representative Fernando Felicevich is currently discussing a January move with Real.
