Arsenal & Liverpool Boost In Chase For PL Rival Brute – reports

Arsenal and Liverpool have been handed a boost in their chase for West Ham United defender Winston Reid, after it was revealed that the east London club are not willing to increase their contract offer to the New Zealand international, as reported by the Daily Express.

Reid’s contract with the Hammers is set to expire at the end of the current season, and there is significant interest in him from elsewhere in the Premier League.

Arsenal and Liverpool are two of several teams who hold an interest in him, with Manchester United also thought to be somewhat keen on the star.

However, reports last week suggested that Liverpool would be Reid’s preferred destination.

A move for Reid could be a possibility in January, although West Ham are insistent that they will not lose the player for cheap, whether he signs a new deal or not.

Reid will also have to accept the current contract offer, as the Hammers see it as exceptionally competitive, without any room for revisions.
