Former Stuttgart manager Thomas Schneider has revealed that there is significant Premier League interest in the German club’s elegant young defender, Antonio Rudiger, as reported by the Daily Express.
He admitted that during his time at the helm of the Bundesliga side, he had to deal with interest from England for his star player.
The German international has been consistently linked with a move to the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United, and it seems as though those links have turned out to be reality.
“I am convinced that Toni is one of the talents that will go to the very top. There were many enquiries from top Premier League clubs when I was manager of Stuttgart.
“But for Toni, it’s most important to get regular first team football. He needs to add more consistency to his game and needs to have more stability.”

It is not just Premier League sides who are said to hold an interest in Rudiger, however, with Monaco believed to have failed with a bid for the player during the summer.
Furthermore, Italian giants Juventus are also thought to be scouting the star, meaning that there is significant competition brewing for his signature in the future.
Man Utd could definitely do with a signing to bolster their defence in January.
